Facebook has redesigned its messenger for Apple Inc.’s iPhone iOS with a new design that is in tune with the simpler design concept of the new iOS 7. A similar design was launched for Android devices a few weeks ago.
The new app shows friends who are online. Like with WhatsApp, users of the app will be able to see anyone on their contact list that is online and messaging them is possible.
The Facebook app also comes with a fresh new look and easy navigation to see recent conversations, people on Messenger, and settings.
The version 3.0 is available for download on the Apple Inc. App store. There are reports that a version of the main Facebook application with support for Graph Search is also in the works.
