Hajime Tabata, the director of the upcoming PS4 and Xbox One RPG behemoth Final Fantasy XV, has revealed that he would love to bring the game to the recently announced Neo and Scorpio consoles – while admitting that his team are open to the future release of a PC version, too.
In an interview with Kotaku, Tabata admitted that, as he was not briefed on Microsoft’s Scorpio before it was announced, Square Enix has not started developing any content for it. However, referring also to Sony’s PlayStation 4 Neo, he said that it would be “really great” for Square Enix to allow gamers to also play Final Fantasy XV using the enhanced capabilities of the “new, stronger-generation hardware”.
Tabata added that Square Enix is “thinking about a PC version”. However, it remains far from a foregone conclusion; he insisted that “until we’ve got the console versions finished, we really aren’t gonna think anymore about that”.
