First Apple Store in Queens, New York to Open on July 11

Apple has revealed that this coming Saturday, July 11, will see the grand opening of the company’s first retail store in the Queens area of New York City. The store will open at 10am local time and be the eighth Apple Store in the city after existing stores in Manhattan and Staten Island.

The new store’s regular opening hours will be 10am to 9.30pm from Monday to Saturday and 11am to 8pm on Sunday. The store will be located at Queens Boulevard in Elmhurst. It could certainly be worth visiting if you live within easy traveling distance and have an Apple Watch or Mac that you still need to get to grips with, as events scheduled to take place at the store soon include beginners’ tutorials for these products. More advanced Apple Watch tutorials are scheduled for later.

As reported by MacRumors, Apple also still intends to open a store in Brooklyn, despite April 2015 having originally been the targeted month for this store’s grand opening. Meanwhile, its well-known Fifth Avenue store is set for a renovation. During the renovation period, this store’s operations will be temporarily at the General Motors Building plaza unit that the FAO Schwarz toy store is leaving.
