After a teaser trailer was unveiled at Super Bowl 2018, the highly anticipated official full-length trailer has now finally gone live! The trailer was unveiled on ABC’s Good Morning America and it perhaps left fans with more questions than it answered.
Director Ron Howard has been giving away more than was to be expected via Twitter, but finally, we have been shown a full-length trailer. The trailer, released by Lucasfilm, shows more of the young Han Solo, Chewbacca, and Lando Calrissian.
On Twitter, Howard gradually began to give more and more away about the film. He tweeted that fans might finally see Han Solo’s Kessel Run, which he famously completed in under 12 parsecs, as well as more insight into Solo winning the Millenium Falcon away from Lando Calrissian. This is the first time a Star Wars director has given away such vital inside information over Twitter. The trailer gives fans the first look at the Kessel Run Howard hinted at. It is not actually confirmed in the trailer that it is the Kessel Run, however, there is a lot of evidence to suggest it is and contextually, it makes sense. What the trailer doesn’t explain, is why Han is doing the Kessel Run.
Fans don’t have to wait much longer to see the film in its entirety as Solo: A Star Wars Story will be released on May 25.
