Flappy Bird: Game Over

Flappy Bird game no longer for sale!

Dong Nguyen, the Vietnamese creator of the mobile game hit Flappy Bird, gave no reason for pulling the game from app stores, but instead called for “peace” on Twitter.

The game is no longer available for purchase on both Goggle Play and Apple’s App Store, USA Today reported.

Nguyen took to Twitter Saturday, calling Flappy Bird “a success of mine.”

“But it also ruins my simple life. So now I hate it,” he wrote.

“I cannot take this anymore,” he later wrote.

I am sorry ‘Flappy Bird’ users, 22 hours from now, I will take ‘Flappy Bird’ down. I cannot take this anymore.– Dong Nguyen (@dongatory) February 8, 2014

It is not anything related to legal issues. I just cannot keep it anymore.– Dong Nguyen (@dongatory) February 8, 2014

The graphically simple — and free — game became a hit in January, topping the iTunes Top Charts.
