British alternative rock band Florence + The Machine has released Songs from Final Fantasy XV, a mini-album of three songs presumably set to appear in Square Enix’s hugely anticipated RPG title.
Included are two original compositions, “Too Much Is Never Enough” and “I Will Be”, and a cover of “Stand By Me” which injects the Ben E. King favourite with a strong ethereal flavor. All three songs have been produced by Emilie Haynie, a writer of Kanye West and Lana Del Rey hits, Idolator reports.
In words quoted by the music news site, the band’s lead singer, Florence Welch, enthuses: “I’ve always seen Final Fantasy as a beautiful and creative game so I don’t think I could have worked with another video game”, describing the franchise’s landscape as “mythical and beautiful and epic.”
The game Final Fantasy XV will hit retail for PS4 and Xbox One on September 30, but Songs from Final Fantasy XV is now available to buy from the iTunes Store for $2.99 and stream on Apple Music. The latest AppleMagazine issue, released today, details various other fresh additions to the iTunes Store.
