Foodspotting: The Multi-Restaurant Mobile Menu

4 out of 5 stars.

Whether you’re deciding where to eat or what to order at a new restaurant, Foodspotting might help you make a decision.

The free app available for android and iPhone is like a multi-restaurant mobile menu, displaying all the favorite dishes from area restaurants.

Whether it’s the spicy tuna roll at Little Bangkok or the Tuscan Turkey sandwich at Dakota Harvest Bakers, users around the area have snapped photos of their favorite dishes and posted them to Foodspotting. Other uses can then flip through the items and mark whether they want it, tried it or loved it. The items can be viewed by restaurant or categories such best dishes or nearest dishes.

So, if you’re at a new restaurant open the app, find the correct location and see the most popular dishes. You also can see what other users are saying about the dishes.

If your favorite dish hasn’t been added yet, snap a photo, tag the location and upload it. The app is super simple to use, and it gives you an excuse to photograph your food. Instead of posting all of your meals on Instagram, put them to use on Foodspotting.

The only downfall I’ve found with this app is that not enough people know about it; therefore, not a lot of dishes are posted for area restaurants. There’s a simple solution to that, though — Download the app, start posting your favorite dishes and tell your friends.
