Disney’s classic romantic fantasy Beauty and the Beast is getting a live-action reimagining – and the first full-length trailer for the new film, starring Emma Watson as Belle, has just arrived online.
The original 1991 animated film is much-loved and, with its story of a bookish girl who sees the inner beauty of a cursed and ugly beast, immortalized a range of iconic characters who return for the new adaptation, including candelabra Lumière and teapot Mrs. Potts.
The new trailer, above, gives a good idea of what we can expect with the upcoming movie, which sees Dan Stevens voice the Beast and also counts Josh Gad, Ewan McGregor, Ian McKellen and Emma Thompson among the ensemble cast. The film is scheduled to arrive in theaters on March 17 next year.
