In recognition and celebration of the upcoming America Recycles Day, a program of Keep America Beautiful, Funds2Orgs is offering a fundraising challenge rewarding organizations with cash and iPad Minis in exchange for gently worn used shoes!
As November 15th is nationally recognized for promoting and celebrating recycling, talk to your favorite organization about the Funds2Orgs Fundraising Challenge. The challenge is simple. Register your charity, school, church, nonprofit, or civic group with Funds2Orgs by December 1, 2013 then begin collecting gently worn used shoes. Your group will then have until March 1, 2014 to collect as many pairs of shoes as possible. Organizations will receive payment in exchange for shoes, and those raising over 7500 pounds will also receive an iPad Mini. A study in the UK states women typically own 20 pair of shoes but only wear 5 of them. If this statistic is correct, every woman could donate up to 15 pairs of shoes alone to the participating organizations and really kick your fundraising into gear!
As most fundraisers revolve around the short sale of candy bars and baked goods, your organization will be proud to know their efforts continue after the challenge as the shoes collected may represent the only chance at true self-sustainability for a family in Haiti, Uganda, or India. Funds2Orgs sends gently worn used shoes to developing nations to serve as the merchandise used in creating Micro-enterprise opportunities for families and communities with little to no income or livelihood.
Check out today and register your favorite school, church or charity to earn funds for their local reach and help abroad!
