Game of Thrones to Premiere on Nigerian TV This Evening

HBO’s fantasy drama series Game of Thrones has been a huge hit around the globe since it first premiered on the network back in April 2011. While Americans are enjoying the fifth season which started last month, people in Nigeria will be able to see the show on their own TV screens for the first time from this evening, as the first season will start screening on cable channel M-Net Edge.

This channel, which is part of the African pay TV service DStv, will show the first episode of the first season from 10pm in Nigeria, which corresponds to about 5pm local time in Washington. The episodes will regularly air from 10-12pm during the first season’s run from today until Friday, May 22, while the second season will air the following week from Monday to Friday. The third, fourth and fifth seasons will air in the next few weeks after that, finally ending on Friday, June 19.
