The highly anticipated Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is now available for pre-order on the App Store, with its release scheduled for May of this year.
Activision first launched the free-to-play battle royale game Call of Duty: Warzone in 2020 on PS4, Xbox One, and Windows. It features online multiplayer combat among 150 players, and support for up to 200 players in a limited-game mode.
The game also allows cross-platform play and progression between the three games of the CoD franchise, with modes like Plunder, Rebirth: Resurgence, Buy Back, Payload, and Clash.
The new mobile version of the game promises to deliver a console-level highest-quality Battle Royale game experience on iPhone and iPad, complete with combat in gunplay, movement, and vehicles, customization options for both veterans and new recruits, gameplay with up to 120 live players in a match, authentic content with operators, weapons, and maps, chat channels, battle pass across platforms, mobile-specific events, playlists, and content, as well as deep control.
Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is fully portable and customizable, offering dozens of options to enable players to arrange their control layout as they see fit.
Users who pre-order the free game on the App Store will earn in-game rewards such as M4 – Archfiend, X12 – Prince of Hell, Ghost – Condemned, and more. The game is compatible with iPhone and iPad with an A12 Bionic chip or later, and requires iOS 15.0 or later.
The introduction of the game on mobile devices will provide gamers with a more immersive experience, making it accessible to more players around the world, and providing additional revenue streams for Activision.
