Glympse Launches & Track n Treat & to Keep Kids Safe on Halloween

Parents and Guardians Can Monitor Child’s Trick or Treating Live Online

Glympse, the pioneer in temporary location sharing, today unveiled Track n Treat for iPhone to enable parents, guardians, troop leaders or friends to keep an eye on children this Halloween. With Track n Treat, parents can set the app to share location and send their phone with a child or other adult and watch in real-time as the trick-or-treaters move from house to house throughout the neighborhood.

“Halloween is fun for kids of all ages but, as a parent, I know there are real concerns about a child’s safety while trick-or-treating, especially after dark. We created Track n Treat to provide assurance to parents by giving them a real-time view on where their children are on All Hallows Eve,” said Bryan Trussel, co-founder and CEO of Glympse. “We are using technology to give parents peace of mind.”

The new Track n Treat incorporates Glympse location sharing technology in a simple, easy to use app so parents can just enable the application, select an email or phone number and start sharing location. For younger children, parents can provide their mobile device to a child or a guardian; older children and teens can use their own phones to share their location. Recipients can view as their child collects candy at each house on a dynamic map, either on web or a mobile browser. Parents can share their child’s location with other family members or trusted neighbors so they can anticipate a child’s arrival. Once the trick-or-treater has returned home, parents can simply stop sharing location.

Track n Treat can be downloaded from the App Store. For more information on how to download Glympse, visit http://glympse.com.
