Renders have leaked Google’s upcoming Pixel Fold smartphone.

According to OnLeaks, Google’s new foldable device will have a 5.79-inch external display and a 7.69-inch inner screen, and the initial leaks look stunning. Google will add a camera bump to the back side of the screen, similar to the latest Google Pixel phone, and a USB-C port.

Further information about the upcoming leak includes confirmation of the Tensor G2 chip processor, a 12GB of RAM entry-level device, and news that it will run Android 13 as standard. Google will sell the new machine for $1,799 in May next year.

Google has reportedly been working on a foldable device for several years, with a 2020 report suggesting that the firm planned to launch its first foldable in 2021. Back in 2019, a spokesperson for the company said it “didn’t see a clear use case yet” for the technology.

Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold and Flip devices have ballooned in sales throughout 2022 thanks to impressive marketing campaigns and competitive pricing. Apple, too, is reportedly working on foldable technology for upcoming iPhones, iPads, and even MacBooks.
