Google Shares Female Dreams on International Women’s Day

Google has marked International Women’s Day today with not only a new Google Doodle, pictured above, but also the #OneDayIWill project, where the tech giant spoke to over 300 women around the world and asked them to complete the sentence, “One day I will…”

It was all part of Google’s declared objective to “celebrate the Doodle-worthy women of the future.” The interviewees ranged from toddlers to grandmothers, and were in major cities including San Francisco, Rio de Janeiro, London, Moscow, Berlin, Lagos and Tokyo.

The voiced aspirations were also diverse; they ranged from the very personal, such as swim with pigs in the Bahamas, right through to the very global, like give a voice to those unable to speak. Google has also posted various YouTube videos of the women that the #OneDayIWill team met on its travels; here is one of those videos, filmed in the German capital of Berlin.

Google has also invited other women to share their dreams with the hashtag #OneDayIWill. We at AppleMagazine certainly join in with that call, and encourage women around the world to enjoy this special day.
