Google’s new cloud gaming service Stadia is now available to play via Safari on iOS.
The platform was first introduced in 2019 and is designed to allow consumers to play their favorite video games on any device, utilizing cloud computing performance to power the latest games.
Despite its best efforts, Google was banned from bringing Stadia to iOS via an app, as Apple has tight restrictions on cloud gaming services, so the company released a new web application as a workaround, which will go some way in serving consumers.
Some games available on launch include Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, DOOM Eternal, and Red Dead Redemption 2 – blockbuster gaming titles that would never be found on iOS.

Google has confirmed that its Safari web app is still in development and that changes will be made to further improve performance and usability. However, the experience is similar to what’s available on the dedicated Android app, allowing users to play and buy games.
Users who want to take advantage of Stadia can do so for free, though a Pro version is available for $10 per month, including access to a library of games and higher frame rates.
