Harman JBL Legend CP100 CarPlay Receiver Arriving This Month

If you’re seeking an inexpensive car dash receiver that is compatible with Apple’s CarPlay, Harman JBL’s Legend CP100, announced in January, can now be preordered for shipping later this month.

The in-dash receiver comes with a 6.75-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth connectivity and, for cars that can make use of it, a rear camera input. It can also provide turn-by-turn navigation through CarPlay or the Android alternative, Android Auto.

The CP100, like other CarPlay receivers, can integrate data from an iPhone to enable ready access of various Apple apps, including Phone, Music and Maps, from the automobile’s dash.

The device is priced at $399.95 on Harman JBL’s website, which also cites an expected delivery date of Friday, February 19 – though, curiously, AppleInsider instead mentions Sunday, February 14. In either case, the CP100 seems an attractive “budget” option for many iPhone users seeking CarPlay functionality.
