Here’s When These Samsung Smartphones Could Get Android 6.0

While iOS users need only to check the Apple website to see if the latest update is available for their device, the situation is only occasionally as clear-cut for Android users. So, when will the latest big Android release, Marshmallow, be available for the following Samsung smartphones?

Owners of the Google Nexus 5X, Google Nexus 6P or HTC One A9 can relax, as they already have Marshmallow, or Android 6.0 as it can otherwise be called, preinstalled. As for Samsung handsets, phoneArena.com has helped to clarify matters.

To put things as simply as we can: according to leaked but unverified information, with Samsung Galaxy devices, the update could reach the Note 5 next month, while the S6, S6 Edge and S6 Edge+ might be next in line for January 2016. The Note 4 and Note Edge could be slotted in for February, before the A5 the following month and S5 and Tab S 10.5 in April.

However, pending formal confirmation from Samsung or Google, this timescale shouldn’t be treat as gospel. It’s ultimately up in the air when Marshmallow will reach any of these devices.
