Earlier this month, we reported how Netflix had quickly grown in popularity in Australia to become that country’s most popular video subscription service. Well, it looks like there will soon be good reasons for even more people Down Under to sign up for Netflix, as there are some very exciting TV shows and films coming to the Australian version of Netflix in June.
These shows under the Netflix Originals category include the third and most recent season of Orange Is The New Black, which will become available from June 12, and Sense8, the first TV project from director brothers and The Matrix creators the Wachowskis. That can be downloaded from June 5, but what about some fun for the kids? For them, from June 26, there will be Dreamworks Dragons: Race To The Edge, a TV series spin-off from the popular How To Train Your Dragon film franchise.
Films available for Australian viewing on Netflix next month include the three major Batman movies of the 1990s, all winging their way for June 30, and – from the same day – the romantic comedy Something’s Gotta Give, starring Jack Nicholson. And these are only some of the month’s highlights. Strewth!
