Back in 1990, Macaulay Culkin became famous for playing the young Kevin McCallister in the hit holiday movies Home Alone and its sequel. In the first movie, Kevin protected his own home from two robbers, while the second movie saw him “clash” with the same duo, this time in New York, where his base of operations was a luxury hotel room. Now, the movies became so popular that they spawned a whole franchise, and a couple of years ago, we were supposed to see a reboot titled Home Sweet Home Alone. The cast had already been hired, as well as the crew, but the COVID-19 pandemic postponed the whole production.
ScreenRant now reports that the movie finally received its official release date – and it’s November 12, 2021. The movie is coming out just at the right time to warm us up for the holiday season. The movie, produced by Disney and starring Archie Yates (Jojo Rabbit) is going to debut exclusively on the Disney+ streaming platform, so you’ll be able to enjoy it from the comfort of your own homes, just like you should do with holiday movies.
