How Microsoft Office Will Be Improved Even Further by iOS 9

Millions of iPad owners will see their devices utterly transformed through downloading iOS 9 – and this should be especially the case for people who use their iPads for making as well as consuming. Even the world’s most renowned productivity software suite, Microsoft Office, is in for major changes…

The Microsoft Office applications of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and Outlook are already available for iPad, but iOS 9 will take them even further with its introduction of the Split View multitasking feature. As demonstrated at Apple’s keynote revealing the upcoming iPad Pro, two Office apps can now be kept open side-by-side.

Split View will also be available on the iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 4, but there is clearly even greater Office functionality with the iPad Pro. In the demonstration, we also got to see how the Apple Pencil can be used to draw shapes on the large screen before PowerPoint automatically converts them into professional-looking images. All of these changes and more leave the iPad looking like a more effective productivity tool than ever before.
