How to make your Apple Watch battery last longer

Apple Watch

The Apple Watch is a popular and powerful smartwatch, but its battery life is a common concern among users, with a typical usage lasting for about 18 hours before requiring a charge. Fortunately, there are several ways to extend the battery life of your Apple Watch and get more out of a single charge. We’ve put together a few below…

Reduce wake screen time

The wake screen time is the period of time that the watch display stays active after you raise your wrist or tap the screen. By reducing this time, you can save battery power. To adjust this, go to the Watch app on your iPhone, tap Display & Brightness, and select Wake Duration to reduce the time.

Turn Off Wake on Wrist Raise

By turning off this feature, the watch will only wake up the display when you tap the screen or turn the digital crown. To turn off this feature, go to the Watch app on your iPhone, tap Display & Brightness, and toggle off Wake on Wrist Raise.

Re-pair your Apple Watch and iPhone

If there are issues with how your watch and phone are paired, re-pairing the devices can often resolve the problem. To do this, go to the Watch app on your iPhone, tap All Watches, tap the info button next to your Apple Watch, and select Unpair Apple Watch.

Turn off some push notifications

Notifications can quickly drain your battery, so it’s best to only enable essential notifications. To do this, go to the Watch app on your iPhone, tap Notifications, and toggle off notifications for apps you use less frequently.

End workouts

When the Apple Watch is in workout mode, it uses more battery power since it measures your heart rate continuously. To conserve power, it’s a good idea to end your workout manually at the end of your exercise routine.
