iMO Instant Messenger Gets VoIP Upgrade

IMO Instant Messenger developers have announced a new VoIP upgrade for their widely popular service to be used on all iOS-laden devices.  Prior to the update, only Android-based operating systems had the ability to make use of video-calling through the application. For anyone unfamiliar, the IMO Instant Messenging app allows you to communicate from one centralized unit to any of your friends on a variety of different messenger services. Currently, IMO can send and receive messages from; Skype, Facebook Chat, MSN, Yahoo, Google Talk, AIM, ICQ, Jabber, VKontakte, and Hyves.

This new VoIP function is similar to Skype, or Apple’s current integrated tool, FaceTime. However, IMO’s video calls promise to be clearer, more concise, and contain less lag when used on a 3G Network. This is something that has plagued Face Time, with a lot of individuals complaining about freezing and distortion.

IMO CEO Ralph Harik released the following statement about IMO’s new iOS upgrade;

“At imo, our mission has always been to provide one place for family and friends to stay connected and maintain their close relationships no matter where they are located. The availability of free voice calling for iPhone users is a critical development for users looking to keep those valuable lines of communication open while saving on their mobile costs.”

This is a solid communication application to grab, especially if you have friends on multiple messenger services. And with the free VoIP calling, it gives you the ability to chat face to face, regardless if your acquaintances have Apple devices with Face Time capabilities. You can grab IMO Messenger now from the Apple App Store.
