Instagram App Gets Post-Beta Release on Windows 10 Mobile

Earlier this week, we sniffed some evidence that it was on the way soon – and, indeed, the full, post-beta version of the Instagram app for Windows 10 Mobile has now finally arrived.

In a press release, Facebook Product Manager Davis Fields revealed that, in making the Windows version of the Instagram app, his company was “focused on bringing the app’s core features to the Windows Phone community as quickly as possible.”

The app is now available for free in the Windows Store, and includes such popular Instagram features as Instagram Direct, Explore and video. The app also supports Live Tiles, which allows you to see exciting updates right on your home screen, without having to manually open the app.

In the press release, Facebook also indicated its intent to roll out Facebook and Messenger apps for Windows 10 Mobile, though it didn’t specify a launch period more specific than “later this year”.
