The Instagram beta app for Windows 10 Mobile has been updated with a number of minor, but easy to appreciate, enhancements – including the inclusion of a transparent Live Tile.
This is actually a rare example of Instagram utilizing the unique functionality of Windows 10 Mobile with this in-the-works app; as discovered by WinBeta in its hands-on video review earlier this month, the app is an almost completely straightforward conversion of the iOS version.
Though the beta app’s listing on the Windows Store does not include a changelog detailing where the image sharing network has made its tweaks, WinBeta reports that the updated app also enables users to log in through Facebook. Various bug fixes are said to be further included.
PhoneArena.com claims that the in-app camera function has also been improved; users can now tap on the screen to zoom in on different parts of an image. Anecdotally, the site adds that, according to “some users”, the update has also resulted in faster scrolling with zippier and smoother animation.
The Instagram beta app is freely available for Windows 10 Mobile from the Windows Store.
