Instagram iOS App Gets New Low-Light Button for Stories

If you’ve really taken to the Snapchat-like Instagram Stories feature, your low-light shots can now look better thanks to the addition of a low-light button to Stories on the Instagram iOS app.

Here’s how it works, as explained by SocialTimes: when the Stories camera is active in a low-light environment, you should see a new moon button. Tapping this will automatically adjust the camera’s settings to provide better lighting for pictures and videos captured where light is lacking.

Instagram Stories, a feature which the image-sharing site released only early last month, lets users post photos and videos that stay visible for only 24 hours, during which time they won’t appear on the users’ main feeds. The new low-light button is a small but easily appreciable addition, though it is not – yet, anyway – available during use of the regular Instagram camera.
