Internal memo suggests Apple planning to release products next week

Apple is planning to release more products next week, according to a memo.

As first reported by MacRumors, the company has reportedly told service providers that it plans to make changes to AppleCare on Tuesday at 5.30 am, and asked technicians to be ready for new product SKUs, updated product descriptions, and new product pricing.

Apple has previously issued memos of this nature ahead of major product announcements, like the iPhone 12 and Apple Watch Series 6, which suggests that the company is indeed readying the release of new hardware.

Exactly what that new hardware will be remains to be seen, though it could be third-generation AirPods or the long-awaited AirTags.

It’s highly unlikely that Apple will host another event this month, after hosting Special Events in September, October, and November, but the company could release new products online and via a press-release.

Indeed, Apple dropped the second-generation AirPods on March 2019 online with little fanfare, and several Macs have been given a press release treatment.

One insider previously teased a “Christmas surprise from Apple,” but didn’t specify which of the company’s products would be updated. Other suggestions include Apple’s long-awaited AirPods Studio, the company’s first over-ear headphones, or a new Apple TV device.
