iOS 10, watchOS 3 and macOS Sierra All Arriving This Month

iOS 10, watchOS 3 and macOS Sierra have all been given concrete release dates by Apple – and owners of supported iPhones, iPads, iPod Touches, Apple Watches and Macs won’t have to wait long.

iOS 10 and watchOS 3 will arrive next Tuesday, September 13. If you are already using iOS 9, you will be able to upgrade to iOS 10 unless your device is an iPhone 4S, iPad 2, third generation iPad, first generation iPad Mini or fifth generation iPod Touch.

macOS Sierra will get its public release a week later, on Tuesday, September 20. So far, Apple has not given a release date for tvOS 10, the next version of the operating system for the fourth generation Apple TV; Apple’s website simply states that it is “coming soon”.

All of these updates will be freely available for supported devices. iOS 10 will be preinstalled on the just-announced iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, while the Apple Watch Series 2 will debut with watchOS 3.
