iOS Continues to Far Surpass Android in Enterprise Market

In enterprise, this year’s second quarter saw far more activations of iOS smartphones than the Android competition, according to figures in Good Technology’s latest Mobile Index Report. The Apple platform scored a huge 64% of activations in comparison to the Google rival’s 32%.

Similar figures are reported for tablet activations in enterprise; here, iOS also boasts a 64% market share, leaving Android trailing at 25%. The figures reflect well on iOS considering that, in both the smartphone and tablet markets, Android is still its nearest competitor in enterprise; Windows could only muster distant third places with its respective shares of 3% and 11%.

All of these figures take account of monthly activations of all of Good Technology’s worldwide customers that each had at least five activated devices in the quarter.
