iPad HD Revamp Revealed at Apple Event!

 There was a lot of speculation that this revamp was coming, and it really makes a lot of sense considering there have been new and substantial technological discoveries from Apple since the iPad HD was originally released.

We assumed that the device would be getting a bump to the new Lightning Connector, and that it would probably feature support for 4G LTE cellular connectivity, since the iPhone 5 already has it. But there were a few other surprises that Apple added that I don’t think anyone was expecting.

“We’re not taking our foot off the gas,” Apple Chief Executive Tim Cook said.

The new fourth generation iPad powerhouse has a few new key features that can’t be ignored. There is a new A6x chip that is twice as fast as the A5X in the current iPad HD. This doubles the performance for CPU tasks and doubles the graphical capabilities as well as opening up some amazing gaming possibilities. The new speed and graphical enhancements will have no effect on the battery life, still boasting 10 or more hours of use. We are also getting an upgrade to FaceTime which will now be in 720P HD. The display will be the same 9.7-inch Retina display as the current iPad HD model.

We already know it will sport the new Lightning Connector, but Apple will also be providing Lightning Connector accessories to support cameras, SD cards, and VGA or HDMI digital video.

The 4th generation iPad is certainly a large upgrade from the current iPad HD, but does it interest you as much as the iPad Mini? I myself am on the go all the time, and I am very impressed with Apple’s 7.9″ tablet offering. I

The fourth generation iPad with WiFi models will be available on Friday, November 2, in black or white for a suggested retail price of $499 (US) for the 16GB model, $599 (US) for the 32GB model and $699 (US) for the 64GB model. Fourth generation iPad with WiFi + Cellular for AT&T, Sprint and Verizon will be offered for a suggested retail price of $629 (US) for the 16GB model, $729 (US) for the 32GB model and $829 (US) for the 64GB model. Preorders begin this Friday, Oct. 26.
