So, we saw the release of the iPad Mini 4 all the way back in September 2015, which means that the Mini 5 should be well on its way, considering Apple’s fondness for yearly releases. But where is it?
People were hoping on the new and improved Mini 5 to be announced back this September or October but nothing has been made public, and we’re now in December. The October event that showcased the new MacBook Pro with touch bar had no mention of the iPad Mini 5.
Apple has already announced that they were going to be releasing three new tablets throughout 2017, so it should have come as no surprise when the iPad Mini 5 didn’t get revealed.
The inconsistencies in dates seem strange for Apple, especially considering they would be missing out on the holiday season by delaying a new product launch.
Rumors now point to the upcoming iPad Pro 2 launch, which has been speculated to be happening in March 2017. This would coincide with the release of the first iPad Pro back in March 2016.
Before then we can hopefully learn a bit more about the Mini 5s specs and get a sneak peek at what it can do before March.
