The iPad Pro and accessory the Apple Pencil have both been granted final approval by the US Federal Communications Commission, which should help pave the way for the products’ retail launch next month.
It remains unclear exactly when the 12.9-inch slate and its optional stylus-like extra will become available to buy, as Apple has not formally set out any launch date more specific than November. However, once a product is FCC-approved, its retail release tends to follow soon after. The exact release date of the Smart Keyboard, also built specifically for use with the iPad Pro, also remains unknown.
GforGames has noted that, according to FCC regulatory documents, Apple filed applications for both WiFi-only and cellular versions of the large tablet. As the company revealed at its September keynote, pricing will start at $799 for a 32GB WiFi-only model, rising to $1,079 for the top-end 128GB LTE variant. The available colors will be, as is the case with other recently-released iPads, space gray, silver and gold.
