iPhone 12 to come with 64GB storage, Pro models to start at 128GB

Apple will release an iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 with 64GB of base storage, and bring the base storage of the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max up to 128GB of base storage.

That’s according to a new report, which outlines that the lower-end iPhone 12 models will stick to the smaller capacities to reduce costs. It’s widely expected that Apple will announce its new iPhones at a special virtual event on October 13, and now reliable Apple insider Jon Prosser has suggested that Apple will begin shipping the devices to distributors next week.

Taking to Twitter, Prosser shared the news, alongside updated iPhone storage capacities.

Prosser has also suggested that, following the announcement of new iPhones on October 13, Apple will begin taking preorders from October 16, shipping days later. That means that the iPhone 12 could be in users hands in just over two weeks’ time, though some suggest that Apple will phase the release schedule and release the Pro models a few weeks later.
