iPhone 12 to feature 4GB RAM, Pro model to ship with 6GB It could be the most powerful iPhone range yet.

Four iPhone 12 models stand upright against a black background. The phones vary in size and color: black, white, and two shades of blue. Each has a sleek, glossy finish with the Apple logo centered on the back. Despite the delay in release, they feature multiple rear cameras.

New leaks suggest that Apple will increase the RAM on its upcoming iPhone 12 models.

The company is widely expected to announce four new iPhone models this September, two as part of the iPhone 12 range and two as part of the iPhone 12 Pro range.

Now, new leaks from reliable Twitter insider @L0vetodream has shed some light on the device internals.

As had already been predicted, Apple will include an A14 chip in its new iPhones, featuring a new 5-nanometer process.

The latest leak suggests that the new System On a Chip (SoC) will boost the RAM of at least two new iPhone models.

The leaker suggests that Apple will stick to the 4GB RAM for the regular iPhones, and bring the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max up to 6GB RAM, offering more power for advanced capabilities like AR and VR.

It had previously been reported that Apple will release two ā€œaffordableā€ iPhone 12 models, one with a 5.4-inch display and one with a 6.1-inch display, whilst the iPhone 12 Pro will be available in a 6.1-inch display and a larger 6.7-inch unit, the largest iPhone ever released.

Though we would usually take social media rumors with a pinch of salt, @L0vetodream has previously reported several major announcements, including Appleā€™s redesigned macOS.

Although Apple is yet to confirm a date for its next event, itā€™s likely that the firm will follow tradition and hold it in early September. If rumors are to be believed, some of this yearā€™s iPhones might be delayed because of production issues due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
