It looks to be a big year for the iPhone 14 Pro, with new estimates suggesting as many as 65% of all new iPhones sold in the coming quarter will be new Pro models.
According to reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple is increasing its sales expectations for the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max for the second half of 2022, citing higher than anticipated demand.
“After the production line switch, iPhone 14 Pro models will account for 60-65% of the total iPhone 14 shipments in 2H22,” Kuo said in a blog post.
Earlier in the week, it was reported that Apple had shifted some of its iPhone 14 capacity to the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max to meet increased demand. I’ts now believed that the iPhone 14 Pro Max is responsible for 30-35% of all iPhone 14 shipments and will serve as the most popular iPhone 14 by number of units sold.
The news comes at the same time as Apple is reportedly shifting its focus on the iPhone to boost Pro and Pro Max sales, introducing new features that are exclusive to the more expensive models. Indeed, this year saw the Pro and Pro Max receive design changes and the introduction of the Dynamic Island, and new cameras.
