The two rumored iOS devices thought to be next up for release, the 4-inch iPhone 5SE and mid-sized slate the iPad Air 3, will reportedly be put on sale online and in retail stores on Friday, March 18.
That news comes from 9to5Mac’s Mark Gurman, who has previously reported various other details about these devices in recent weeks. He has once again cited unnamed sources in claiming that Apple is unlikely to make either device available for preorder, though that plan could still change.
This release strategy suggests that Apple expects to have more than sufficient supply of the iPhone 5SE and iPad Air 3 to meet early demand. Recent Apple products to have been put on sale very shortly after being announced include the sixth generation iPod Touch last July and the iPad Mini 4 in September.
