The iPhone 7 and Apple Watch Series 2 have started hitting Apple retail stores around the world today – though high demand for the iPhone 7 Plus has prevented walk-in customers getting their hands on it.
From today, the iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus and Apple Watch Series 2 are all getting their initial release to the public – and Apple CEO Tim Cook has marked the occasion by tweeting a link to an Apple Newsroom blog post showing various photos of shoppers enjoying their new Apple devices.

However, walk into an Apple store today and you won’t be able to pick up an iPhone 7 Plus. Just ahead of the release day, Apple had revealed that all iPhone 7 Plus models and the Jet Black iPhone 7 had sold out during the online preorder period. Any iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus model can still be ordered through Apple’s website – though, depending on what exact model is ordered, there could still be a long shipping delay.
