iPhone 8 and Apple Watch Series 3 officially preparing for shipment

Only a day after Apple began accepting orders for the iPhone 8 and Apple Watch Series 3, the first orders have been shifted to ‘preparing for shipment’ ahead of a delivery date on Friday September 22.

Preparing for orders of the Apple Watch Series 3 began on Friday afternoon while the order status for the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus started on Saturday. Orders for the Apple 4K TV have not yet changed to ‘preparing for shipment’ but it is expected that it will happen soon.

Pre-orders for all three of the devices started on September 15 at 12:01am Pacific Time. Some SIM-free and T-Mobile iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus devices sold out relatively early but the supplies of others have remained high meaning that there should be no problem buying one from an Apple Store on the official launch day.

On the other hand, you might struggle to pick up an Apple Watch Series 3 with LTE connectivity as several configurations sold out and listed shipment dates of a few weeks. It’s not possible to pick up these models in store, either although non-LTE models are readily available.

Customers in Australia and New Zealand will be the first to get their hands on the new products.
