iPhone SE to Include 4K Video Shooting, New Report Suggests

The 4-inch iPhone SE expected for reveal on Monday could come with the same high resolution 4K video shooting capability as the iPhone 6S series, according to a new report citing an anonymous tipster.

AppleInsider reports that, according to this source, Apple has been using the handset to shoot a promotional video that will tout this particular aspect of the iPhone SE. In fact, Apple employees were reportedly capturing footage in New York as recently as last week.

It is unclear whether the completed promotional video will debut at the March 21 media event – and, indeed, AppleInsider says that it was unable to verify any of the claims made by this tipster. The footage could instead first appear in a marketing campaign shortly after the iPhone SE is announced.

The fresh claims about the phone’s camera do, however, have a ring of credibility when paired to an earlier report, from KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, that the iPhone SE will feature a 12-megapixel rear camera – which would put it on a par with the iPhone 6S series in this particular area.

Whatever the true specs of the iPhone SE’s back camera, it looks like we now have less than a week to wait before the mystery is lifted…
