An iPhone X has finally been spotted in the wild

Although not officially available for pre-order until later this month, one lucky user has managed to get his hands on an iPhone X ahead of time. A video, initially posted on Instagram and then onto Reddit, shows the new device in all its glory, showcasing a new wallpaper and more.

Despite several hands-on videos showcasing the iPhone X, this is the first time that the device has been spotted in the wild ahead of its initial release. It’s difficult to know how this person managed to obtain a functioning iPhone X but the best guess is that they work for Apple or a partner, such as a carrier.

One of the main sources of intrigue in the video is the wallpaper. This new dynamic option is exclusive to the iPhone X’s OLED display. We also see Face ID in action (even though it does not work because the face is blocked) and you can see the stainless steel band paired with the white front design.

You can watch the video via Reddit hereĀ and let us know what you think. Will you be one of the first in line for an iPhone X come October 27?
