iPhone X reservations to reopen on November 4 outside of the U.S.

On top of pre-orders and limited in-store availability for walk-in customers on Friday, Apple will soon begin accepting reservations for the iPhone X starting this weekend in a number of countries outside of the U.S.

Reserve and Pickup will open on Saturday November 4 at 6 AM local time in Australia, Belgium and the U.K. and at 8 AM local time in Canada, Hong Kong, Mexico, Switzerland and the United Arab Emirates. In these select countries, customers will be able to select their iPhone X color and storage capacity and reserve that model for pickup at a chosen Apple retail store. Of course, the models available will vary by location.

This differs to the standard in-store pickup option that’s currently available on the website which requires paying upfront for the device. Choosing Reserve and Pickup means you’ll be able to pay when you collect. This option also allows you to bypass the current 5-6 week shipping estimate of pre-ordering with in-store pickup.

One potential downside of this is that your pick-up must be completed within a 30 minute window that you select online otherwise your reservation may be cancelled. You’ll also need to show valid photo ID and there’s a maximum limit of two reservations per customer. The availability of SIM-free iPhone X’s will vary by country too.

Apple has confirmed that this option will not be available to customers in the U.S. but they can still make use of standard, pay-ahead or in-store pickup.

Good luck!
