iPhone XR now available to buy both online and in stores

If you have long been tempted to pick up the iPhone XS or iPhone XS Max, only to be deterred by the respective starting prices of $999 and $1099, rest assured that the iPhone XR has arrived. The new device, priced from $749, houses many features of the XS in aluminum-and-glass enclosures of various fun colors.

Like the iPhone XS series, the iPhone XR is powered by an Apple A12 Bionic processor and comes with the Face ID authentication system, allowing users to unlock their handsets with just a glance. The XR also includes the XS’s adjustable Depth Control feature for editing Portrait photography.

However, whereas the XS and XS Max feature OLED screens measuring – respectively – 5.8 and 6.5 inches, the XR instead includes a 6.1-inch “Liquid Retina” LCD display. The XR also comes in a broader range of colors – the six options of black, white, blue, yellow, coral and PRODUCT(RED).

The iPhone XR has attracted many positive reviews. Engadget enthuses that the device “arguably offers the best blend of size and usability”, while Mashable has called it “the Goldilocks of iPhones with a big screen, fantastic cameras, and future-proof power.”

If you intend to buy the iPhone XR, you can now go through with that plan, with the handset now available for purchase both online and in bricks-and-mortar retail stores.
