New renders are offering a potential look at the new 16-inch MacBook Pro.
Apple is widely expected to lift the lid on a new MacBook this month, and now a concept has emerged showing off the potential design of the new device, complete with Touch Bar and smaller screen bezels.
The renders, revealed by 9to5Mac, show a design that’s similar to the 15-inch MacBook Pro, with smaller bezels in order to fit the larger display.
It’s expected that the new MacBook Pro will have a similar form factor to the current 15-inch model.
What has changed, however, is a curvier design with a body that’s less boxy than the current 15-inch model.
What’s more, the model features three USB-C and Thunderbolt 3 ports on each side, totalling six, offering professional users more capability on their devices – something that Apple has been criticized for in the past.
It has been widely reported that Apple will drop the 16-inch MacBook Pro later this month at an October event, with a redesigned keyboard as the company looks to move away from its ill-fated butterfly keyboard arrangement.
Though this render looks beautiful, there are a few things we’d still like to see Apple change:
- The introduction of a physical escape button on the Touch Bar would be great
- An option to purchase the 16-inch MacBook Pro without a Touch Bar should also be given
- The design is pretty similar to the current MacBook range, despite promises of an overhaul
Are you looking forward to seeing the new MacBook Pro later this month?
