Board games are known for making our minds more productive, whether we choose to play them on a screen or ‘by the book,’ on a physical board. But it’s a bit uncomfortable to have a board each time. That’s where playing a digital version of a board game is a lot more suitable, and you can even compete with many other people located thousands of miles away!

There are so many board games to choose from, and we gladly recommend you some of our favorite titles:

Carcassonne

The ‘Carcassonne – Tiles and Tactics’ game from the App Store is a new version of the famous board game that was multi-awarded. This latter version is in 3D, and it includes improved AI, new exclusive features, and a 3D landscape.

In Carcassonne, you have to make your kingdom come alive with tiles, meeples, and tactics. Simple!

Raiders of the North Sea

This is a nice game with impressive mechanics and lots of strategic ways to deal with it. Raiders of the North Sea is also a Viking-filled worker placement title, and it’s set in the Viking Age. The players will play the roles of Viking warriors willing to impress the Chieftain by raiding settlements. Players will also have to assemble a crew, gather provisions, and plunder iron, gold, and livestock.

Backgammon

Winning at Backgammon involves a combination of both luck and skill, and we’re talking about one of the oldest known board games (its first traces date back about 5,000 years). Backgammon is played between two players where each of them has fifteen pieces at his disposal. As the dice rolls, the players will have to move checkers between twenty-four triangles.

Monopoly

Monopoly allows the player to play the role of a real state billionaire. You can buy houses and other properties deciding other things that can happen to such buildings. The player has to prove that he’s a better manager than his opponent and do all he can to drive him into bankruptcy.

Scrabble

Scrabble game gives you the chance of showing that you’re good with words, as several players will compete against each other in a single game. They’ll have to maneuver tiles of letters and place them in the correct order to form words. Those words will have to be read in a crossword fashion and be included in a standard dictionary or lexicon. You may also use a Word Unscrambler to descramble the scrabble words to earn points easily.

Wingspan

Wingspan involves 1 to 5 players in a card-driven, medium-weight, and engine-building board game. Players have to attract birds to the wildlife reserves, and the artwork of this game is strongly praised.

Ticket to Ride

Ticket to Ride is pretty much a crossover, and it’s both exciting and strategic. The reward system is also pretty fine-tuned.

Antihero – Digital Board Game

In Antihero, you can play the role of a feared and referred master thief. There’s only one goal but many foes. Antihero is a fast-paced digital board game where you can use a lot of stealth.

Pandemic: The Board Game

You can collaborate with other players in Pandemic: The Board Game to stop some awful disease outbreaks. Who knows, maybe you’ll even learn from this game how to handle real pandemics.

Galaxy Trucker

Have you ever dreamed about building spaceships and even doing it against the clock? If so, here’s your chance to make your dream come true: by playing Galaxy Trucker. Of course, you won’t be building real spaceships, but the game is still a load of fun.
