iTunes 12.4.1 Released, Fixes Issues with VoiceOver and More

Apple has sent out a minor update to the desktop iTunes software for Mac and Windows, two weeks after iTunes 12.4 was released and brought an interface redesign to the synchronization software.

According to the release notes, this update tackles “a number of problems where iTunes doesn’t work as expected with VoiceOver.” Furthermore, the option to Reset Plays and iTunes’ ability to crossfade between songs have both been restored – while Apple has acknowledged that, before this update, clicking Up Next “may have unexpectedly played songs added together in the incorrect order.”

On Mac, you can download iTunes 12.4.1 through the Software Update mechanism in the Mac App Store, while Windows users can get their prompt to update upon either booting up their computers or clicking to load the iTunes software in the usual manner. This is likely to be the last new version of iTunes released before this month’s WWDC, where exciting upcoming changes could be unveiled.
