iTunes won’t be available on Windows Store this year

Microsoft users who want to download iTunes from the Windows Store will have to wait a little longer than expected after Apple confirmed it was behind schedule.

At the Build developer conference held earlier in the year, Microsoft announced that it was working with Apple on bringing iTunes to the Windows 10 store, making it easier for Windows users to find the music management software and update their iPhones.

Despite some hype from the community, iTunes won’t be available on the Windows Store before the end of the year, with Apple saying they need “more time to get it right”.

According to sources at ZDNet, the two companies are working on getting iTunes in the Windows Store, but there’s currently no updated timeline on when this might be.

Most users of Windows 10 can download iTunes directly from the Apple website, but those who are using Windows 10 S, who can only download apps from the Windows Store, will have to wait a little longer to stream Apple Music from their desktop.
