Kim Kardashian Beats sell out in Canada and the United States

The limited-edition Beats Fit Pro headphones, designed by Kim Kardashian, have sold out in the US and Canada just hours after launching, demonstrating high demand and the value Apple gains in partnering with celebrities.

The collaboration saw Apple release three new colors of its popular Beats Fit Pro headphones, Moon, Dune, and Earth, and just hours after they went on sale, they’re no longer available in the United States and Canada on the Apple and Beats websites. There is some limited availability on some retailer websites such as Amazon, and in markets like the United Kingdom, some color options remain, but the units are virtually sold out worldwide.

Apple has confirmed that the new Beats will be available to purchase in person at select Apple Store branches around the world, including Regent Street in London, Champs-Élysées in Paris, and Fifth Avenue and SoHo in New York City. This strategy could perhaps be part of a wider test for Apple to release limited edition products and build hype, similar to how it has with its iPhone releases every year, especially now peripherals are becoming a bigger part of the company’s revenue stream.

Apple first launched Beats Fit Pro last year, offering flexible wingtips to deliver a secure fit in the area when running or working out. The buds offer the same features as Apple’s AirPods Pro, including noise cancellation, spatial audio, an H1 chip, automatic device pairing, and more. The Kim Kardashian range was simply a recolor.
