‘Leaked’ CAD renders suggest the iPhone 14’s design will barely differ from the iPhone 13

Sometimes, a lack of change can be as much of a story as change – and it would seem this may turn out to be the case for the iPhone 14, which is expected to be unveiled in September this year.

In the meantime, we’re largely dependent on rumors. And on that front, there was a big development today, as CAD illustrations were published purporting to show what the iPhone 14 will look like.

The renders, as shared by the MySmartPrice website, indicate that there will be hardly any change from the iPhone 13 design for the iPhone 14. Indeed, it seems that the front of the phone won’t change in appearance at all, with even the Face ID notch staying the same – backing up previous reports.

As for the back of the device, there will seemingly be a very slight change to the camera housing. The leaked renders show a thicker frame surrounding the camera lenses, with the side of the bump being brought closer to the edges of the smartphone’s back.

Reports also indicate that the iPhone 14 will have the same 6.1-inch display as its predecessor and even the same processor.

With MySmartPrice having last year leaked an 11-inch iPad Pro render that turned out to be accurate, while the latest iPhone 14 illustrations may not exactly be official “confirmation” of anything, they might well be the next closest thing.
