Today, the long-awaited game Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens has finally arrived on a wide range of formats – and the critics have good things to say about it, despite lingering dรฉjร vu…
The game is, of course, the blockbuster movie Star Wars: The Force Awakens poured into a Lego mould and retold in game form. Developer TT Games, which has been responsible for a long line of well-liked Lego games, is – unsurprisingly – also behind this new addition to the series.
If you’ve played the studio’s earlier Lego games, you should know what to expect from this one. GameSpot remarks that “there’s more than a touch of the familiar about this game”, adding that the “gameplay, puzzles, and basic structure are all well worn”.
Similarly, VideoGamer.com has described the game as “polished, good looking, and pretty well designed”, but also “becoming formulaic”. Still, both outlets give generally positive reviews – meaning that, if you like both the movie and Lego, you’re unlikely to be disappointed.
Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens is now available to buy for Windows, Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Wii U, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
