Is a Fallout 4 – in other words, a fourth game in the post-apocalyptic RPG series – actually going to happen? It hasn’t been officially confirmed, but there has recently been some tantalizing evidence that we will be seeing – yes, seeing – some of it pretty soon.
What evidence? We mean a recent mention, on the LinkedIn profile of a 3D artist, that they have spent several months working on a “Fallout 4 cinematic trailer” for Mirada Studios, the self-described “studio designed for storytellers” co-founded by Hollywood director Guillermo del Toro.
The computer games news website VideoGamer.com has posted a screenshot of this designer’s listing on the corporate social media website LinkedIn. As you can clearly see by following the link, this designer has reported having worked on the trailer from December 2014 until March this year.
It certainly looks very possible that Bethesda, the publisher and developer of Fallout 3, has hired Mirada Studios to make a trailer in order to show off Fallout 4 at their own conference at the upcoming E3 computer games event on Sunday, June 14. This does not, however, strictly mean that Guillermo del Toro has had much involvement in making Fallout 4 – though we wouldn’t be surprised to see many Fallout fans still end up excitedly speculating!
