Marvel Studios’ Loki will return for Season 2, streaming exclusively on Disney+! This is the news that hit us after the first season finale, when it has been revealed that Loki would, indeed, be returning, which is something most people expected, let us be honest. Starring Tom Hiddleston as the titular antihero, Loki’s cast also included Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Ravonna Renslayer, Wunmi Mosaku as Hunter B-15, Tara Strong voices Miss Minutes, and Owen Wilson as Mobius M. Mobius. Overjoyed, Hiddleston said this about the show’s second season:

“I am so grateful that we got to do Season 1, I still am not quite able to process that we get to have another go at this. I am so excited by the possibilities,” star Tom Hiddleston tells Marvel.com. “We are already in discussions. Deep, deep, deep discussions. I can’t wait to get started.”

Loki was a major hit from Marvel and has been praised by both fans and critics for its quirky approach, its ingenious plot, and the cast performances. On par with WandaVisionLoki is considered to be one of Marvel’s best television series and we are overjoyed to know that it is going to get a second season.

In case you’ve yet to see the show, let us remind you how Disney+ and Marvel summarized this show: “Picking up immediately after Loki steals the Tesseract (again), he finds himself called before the Time Variance Authority, a bureaucratic organization that exists outside of time and space, forced to answer for his crimes against the timeline and given a choice: face deletion from reality or assist in catching an even greater threat.”

Although a Disney+ exclusive, Loki is going to be available for streaming on all Apple devices, which is why we sincerely hope that an even quirkier second season will hit the screens sooner rather than later.
